Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities:
On occasion act as lead in proposal responses to the Client with the support of Marketing and other team members.
Participate in handover meetings of newly assigned project(s) with the tender / Estimating group.
Ensure all team members have read and understood project objectives, including project specifications/agreements and head contract requirements.
Ensure all contracts and subcontracts are issued by the schedule.
Establish and complete specific project management plans incorporating Safety, Quality, and Environmental plans.
Ensure all document control requirements are up to date and detailed to create the records of events.
Complete project schedule with input from Project Superintendent and subcontractors using either MS Project or Primavera P6, ensuring critical path logic and sub-critical path logic are in place.
Hold and lead subcontract award meetings and ensure the contracts and scope are aligned with project goals and head contract requirements.
Carry out all project management activities as laid out in Brook's policy and procedures.
Review shop drawings and submission requirements before submissions.
Responsible for all financial requirements of the project, including revenue forecasting, billing, and approval of payments.
Establish and monitor construction work schedules including “look ahead” schedules.
Update schedule weekly and ensure Superintendent look ahead are aligned with Master schedule.
Review all RFIs and change order requests before submission to client and owner representative.
Lead meetings with the client or owner's representative, with detailed minutes, full review of outstanding RFIs, change order requests, conflicts, and risk register.
Prepare monthly external and internal reports as per the project procedures manual and requirements of the contract.
Ensure all insurances, licenses, bonds, LoC, and certificates are in place and renewed when required.
Ensure compliance with all Environment regulations and policies.
Mentor and inform all subordinates of processes and procedures.
Administer and ensure adherence to all applicable labor agreements and labor standards.
Allocate work and provide direction to Project Coordinators in the administration of the contract.
Responsible for the completion of any deficiencies and issues related to the warranty period.
Ensure total completion of theproject, contractually and financially.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant field.10+ years experience in a construction company
Proven track record of successful project management of significant building and public infrastructure restoration/renewal construction projects up to $20 million.
Deep expertise and a proven track record concerning the continuous improvement of project delivery services and value-added constructibility processes and practices.
Ability to use MS Word, Excel, & Outlook, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.
Ability to inspire trust in difficult situations by instilling confidence and engaging people on matters that affect them.
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive industry partner relationships.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation and problem-solving skills.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills at multiple levels: client/owner representative, construction site.
Possess a valid drivers licenseFirst Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.

Chief Estimator
Responsibilities:
Review project leads to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
Review project estimates to establish accuracy and completeness prior to the bid review
Provide technical support to all estimators and prepare estimates as required
Lead the selection of subcontractors and major material vendors for projects
Participate in pre-bid, bid strategy and presentation meetings to certify consistency
Assist in the preparation of preliminary project schedules and bid proposals
Represent the estimating departing in project turnover meetings
Propose and approve bid strategies, constructability requirements, and advantages or innovations to increase bidding success
Track metrics relating to project estimating wins and losses
Build effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
Engineering degree or technical diploma in engineering technology is an asset
Journeyman trade certificate an asset.
Fifteen or more years of experience in construction estimating; building and infrastructure restoration construction is preferred.
Ten or more years of experience with larger multi trade complex project estimates.

CoNSTRUCTION Estimator
Responsibilities
Attend bid meetings and develop and execute bid strategy;
Analyze project proposals to prepare cost estimate;
Review technical Specifications and Drawings for pricing and scope review;
Prepare estimates of materials, labour, sub-contractor costs, etc. for job bids;
Maintain and complete tender processes, including administrative tasks;
Continuously update unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors and location impacts;
Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference.
Work effectively and accurately in time-sensitive situations while delegating to a team;
Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
Perform additional assignments per manager's direction.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a construction estimator.
- Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
- Understanding of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
- Comfortable with numbers and technology.

- Well-organized and reliable.
- BSc/BA in engineering, construction science, or relevant field.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other qualification considered a benefit.
