FIRST AID TRAINING

Here at Brook Restoration Ltd. the safety of our employees is a top priority. One of the ways that we ensure a healthy work force is by offering First Aid/CPR courses to all of our Supervisor\Foreman and lead hands. This ensures that a certified First Aider is always available to act quickly and responsibly for the needs of the work force at every work location. This flexibility makes it easy for Brook Restoration Ltd. to respond quickly when required and ensure that there are an adequate number of qualified first aiders on each project site.

SITE INSPECTION

A key component of our safety program is our on-going inspection and monitoring of worksites. Through the integrated safety system, Our Health and Safety Manager Safety is equipped to attend our sites on a regular basis and conduct thorough inspections of health and safety practices and procedures. These inspections result in a formal report to Brook Restoration Ltd. Senior Management, which will outline any deficiencies, measures taken to correct these deficiencies and provide recommendations for dealing with these deficiencies going forward. Our Health and Safety Manager uses his in depth knowledge of legislative requirements, industry best practices and the Brook Restoration Ltd. Policies and Procedures in order to preserve the commitment of Brook Restoration Ltd. to keep workers safe.

INCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Although the goal of both Brook Restoration Ltd. is to ensure that incidents involving the Health and Safety of workers do not occur, should incidents occur, Our Health and Safety Manager is called upon to perform a thorough investigation of the circumstances and events leading up to the incident. Every incident or near miss is studied by our Highly Qualified Health and Safety Professional to determine how the incident can be prevented from occurring again. This provides an excellent opportunity to improve upon Policies and Procedures and is an effective tool in developing a successful due diligence program.

DIRECT SAFETY SUPERVISION

Should the need arise, due to special circumstances relating to site-specific hazards, Our Health and Safety Manager may be required to be present for the entire workday in order to monitor Health and Safety compliance. Our Health and Safety Manager is able to work with Site Supervisors in order to trouble-shoot potential risks, and to provide a competent application of the Act and Regulations in a live-work setting. This service is provided so that real time work situations can receive appropriate attention by our Health and Safety Manager to provide real time proactive solutions.

JOINT HEALTH AND SAFETY

Finally, Brook Restoration Ltd. believes that through the joint efforts of workers and management, health and safety issues can be resolved in a coherent manor. The Joint Health and Safety Committee and Worker Representative is an essential part of this process. This Committee meets on a regular basis and is another key element in assisting the Management of Brook Restoration Ltd. in the development of their Policies and Procedures. As a mechanism for workers to discuss their Health and Safety concerns and considerations, the Joint Health and Safety Committee, the Worker Representative and the role of our Health and safety Manager within this context, help to shape the position of Brook Restoration Ltd. as a health and safety leader in the construction industry.
